BRE CERTIFICATION

As part of its commitment to sustainability, Matworks products are now tested under standards set by BRE Certification Limited, part of the BRE Trust, a charitable company whose objectives are to advance knowledge, innovation and communication in all matters concerning the built environment for public benefit.

Matworks is ISO14001:9000 and ISO9001:2000 accredited

All Matworks tile ranges tested by BRE Certifi cation Ltd have been certified with a BRE rating. As part of the National Floor Coverings Group Matworks has "A" Rated products in the Green Guide to Specification, representing good environmental performance.

By achieving the ‘A’ rating on all tested carpet tile ranges, Matworks has demonstrated that it makes a reduced impact on the environment through the manufacture of its products, compared with the industry average. This means that when a customer chooses to use ‘A’ rated products, they are reducing the environmental impact of the building when it is assessed under BREEAM(BRE Environmental Assessment Method).

To qualify for BREEAM, a building is assessed against specific environmental weightings and credits are awarded in each area, according to performance.

BREEAM is regarded by the UK’s construction and property sectors as the measure for best practice in environmental design and management, and it success can be attributed to its unique ability to cover a wide range of environmental issues within one assessment.
